Heres a sunday afternoon post about sat. night. Try to guess what I was watching. Clues include a very gothic soap opera set in a ?Fictional? town 50 miles away from Bangor Maine. It Ran for 5 years starting in the mid 60's. Though it started as a straight Soap it quickly found its footing dealing with supernatural Storylines.

Any Guesses?

Mike D,

Where are you in the story line? The Phoenix story that took place before Barnabas showed up? The 1795 flashback? The Dream? Adam and Eve? Parallel Time?

Yeah, I think I guessed it pretty well, huh?

It helps that I collect the stuff!

I started with the 1795 fashback and watched thru the doctor "Curing" Barnabus. I stopped there and Decided I needed to Start at ep 1. I watched the first 9 eps last night and am about to start the next set. I forgot How much I loved this show but in truth I could only at best remember the last coupla years when It first broadcast.

I used to have the entire series on VHS, but because of a temper tantrum my ex had, I lost them all. Now I have the entire first year on VHS and up through going into the 1795 story line on DVD. Dark Shadows has been a part of my life since the early 90s. I wasn't allowed to watch it when it was on television when I was a kid, my mother thought it would scare me.

I was able to put my DVDs on my Zune so I could sit at lunch at work and watch DS! So fun!

Yeah, Exes Suck!! Dont need to go there. I lost a lot of my Lum and Abner stuff that way. I have lots of the DVD sets. Wanna do some off list trading? I need collections 1 thru 6 and 12 and 13 and 17 and 18 as well and Collections 4-6 of the beginnings. I have traded for the rest.

I only have 1-4 on DVD at the moment, and I don't know if there's a copyright block on my first year on VHS, but I'd be happy to work on these when I get a moment. I'll finally get some use out of my VHS to DVD converter!

So, let me work on getting the DVDs copied for you. The DVD sets are expensive, so it's going to take a bit for me to get set 5.

And in return, I'm asking that whatever you have that's public domain, please put the stuff here so everyone can share. And, if you can help me cover the postage to send the DVDs to you, that would be awesome. That way, I'm not digging into my funds I am holding aside to by more Sudsy TV!

And... like I have to always put on my craigslist postings... I am unforgiving when it comes to spam. One of my favorite pastimes is to make spammers lives miserable.
